Thanks for the free coffee @maystreetlarder_mezz! The opening this morning was buzzing 🎉 I’ve loved @eamon_sullivan’s restaurants since he opened @louisbaxters way back in 2011 when I worked across the road at Scoop Magazine. So you can imagine how excited I was when I saw a new one opening literally 2 minutes from my house 😍 The coffee didn’t disappoint and the food looked awesome too. Definitely my new local ☕️

Instead of buying fresh flowers, I love simple greenery instead. I picked these stems from the side of the road when I went walking this morning. Free and easy! 🌿
My adorable little man is 6 months today 💙 I remember when people would say “you won’t remember what life was life before having kids.” I always thought “uh, yeah, of course I will. It’s made up of my job and friends and going out and dinners and drinking and sleeping in.” And of course now I remember all those things. But I get what those people mean now. It’s like I was in limbo all my life, just filling in time, waiting for my babies to arrive. Maybe it’s because I became a mum in my 30s instead of 20s, but I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. I don’t pine for my old life. In fact, it feels like I’ve building up to motherhood for a long time. And now that it’s arrived, this is the person I was meant to be. I haven’t lost my old identity. I’ve just stepped into one I was always waiting for. 💙
This delicious-looking raspberry lemon slice was made by my lovely and talented friend (and fellow mum - my first Connor and her third Annabelle are 4 weeks apart!) @healthyfrenchwife 💕 Looks amazing Claire! 😍 I used to make raw treats all the time but with the arrival of mon bébé I haven’t done anything lately. I think this’ll be on my to-make list this week!
You’re doing it wrong, kid 😂 Probably one of my favourite photos ever! My (not so) little baby starting solids. What a cutie 💙 • If he didn’t like avocado, I think I’d have to disown him... who’s with me 😄🥑) • Also I’m glad he had fun, but cleaning that high chair was not 😳 Now I know why so many people get the simple Ikea ones! (I thought about it but wanted one that reclined because Connor’s still not sitting up on his own completely by himself yet.) • All in all, a successful first attempt ✅
When wine became less prevalent in my life (I love my kid but sometimes he’s got a lot to answer for... 🍷) I started drinking kombucha most evenings. • I know I should get off my butt and make it myself, but #newmumlife / I’m lazy 🤷🏻‍♀️ • So in the meantime, the bottled stuff it is.) I’ve tried about 10 brands but @lobros_bottlingco is my favourite. Both the fizziness (not too much, not too little) and variety of flavours 🍉🍑 AND it’s organic ✔️ • Plus it’s nice to look forward to something not-water-or-herbal-tea in the evenings. Yum.
I’ve noticed I take a bajillion photos of Connor on his own or with his dad, but rarely do I get any of the two of us together! So when my mum snapped this one of us at @thebodhitreeperth today I was a happy camper 😍 He is the best little baby, I love him so much. (And more since he started sleeping through the night 11-12 hours 😄 Oops, can I say that?!) He’s such a happy baby, really content. He loves being around people, especially family. And his laugh is just the BEST thing in the world. I am one lucky mama! 💙
