I just realised I’ve hit more than 1000 Instagram posts! 😵✨💜 • Gosh that’s a lot of time spent on this app. Totally worth it though - mostly because I’ve made some pretty incredible friends out of it. (Notably @healthhappinessandheels @mrs__gooseygardner @healthyfrenchwife! 3 amazing women!) • I learned a long time ago you can let social media be a trap where you’re chained to mindlessly scrolling, or you can decide to make it what you want - in my case, that’s something that allows me to connect more frequently and deeply with people. And make new friends. That’s pretty awesome. #attitudeiseverything • I’ve also learned not to compare myself to anyone or anything I see. The grass is greener where you water it. No comparison anxiety for me 🙅🏻‍♀️ • I’ve learnt a bunch of other things over the years... after having a think about it, these are my top highlights. • 1. Previously I would have edited this photo of me so my forehead would look less wrinkly. But having children has been a fast-track to self acceptance. How am I supposed to teach someone else they’re worthy and valuable if I don’t feel the same about myself? So no editing. No stupid FaceTune blurring. A cute filter every now and then, sure. But this is what I look like. • 2. I used to pride myself on being that Type-A girl who made colour-coded lists and scheduled things months in advance. I’ve since realised that I was trying to control things because I didn’t trust my gut instincts. The only way I could change this was to change life completely, which is why in 2016 Ben and I packed up our lives to travel and live overseas for 2 years. All the travel clichés are true - it was the scariest yet best thing ever I’ve ever done. (BTW, I still love making lists! But now because they’re helpful to stay organised and accountable, not because I’m scared I won’t be productive without one.) • Continued in the comments 👇🏼

I posted this on my stories already but it was too cute not to share in my profile. My darling baby boy is 10 months! (Well, not such a baby anymore!) • Almost ready to walk, 4 teeth and 2 on the way, so much energy and curiosity, massive attitude already (I bet his first word will be ‘no’ 🤣)... and I wouldn’t have it any other way 💙

Thanks for the free coffee @maystreetlarder_mezz! The opening this morning was buzzing 🎉 I’ve loved @eamon_sullivan’s restaurants since he opened @louisbaxters way back in 2011 when I worked across the road at Scoop Magazine. So you can imagine how excited I was when I saw a new one opening literally 2 minutes from my house 😍 The coffee didn’t disappoint and the food looked awesome too. Definitely my new local ☕️

Instead of buying fresh flowers, I love simple greenery instead. I picked these stems from the side of the road when I went walking this morning. Free and easy! 🌿

My adorable little man is 6 months today 💙 I remember when people would say “you won’t remember what life was life before having kids.” I always thought “uh, yeah, of course I will. It’s made up of my job and friends and going out and dinners and drinking and sleeping in.” And of course now I remember all those things. But I get what those people mean now. It’s like I was in limbo all my life, just filling in time, waiting for my babies to arrive. Maybe it’s because I became a mum in my 30s instead of 20s, but I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. I don’t pine for my old life. In fact, it feels like I’ve building up to motherhood for a long time. And now that it’s arrived, this is the person I was meant to be. I haven’t lost my old identity. I’ve just stepped into one I was always waiting for. 💙

This delicious-looking raspberry lemon slice was made by my lovely and talented friend (and fellow mum - my first Connor and her third Annabelle are 4 weeks apart!) @healthyfrenchwife 💕 Looks amazing Claire! 😍 I used to make raw treats all the time but with the arrival of mon bébé I haven’t done anything lately. I think this’ll be on my to-make list this week!

What a cutie 💙 • If he didn’t like avocado, I think I’d have to disown him... who’s with me 😄🥑) • Also I’m glad he had fun, but cleaning that high chair was not 😳 Now I know why so many people get the simple Ikea ones! (I thought about it but wanted one that reclined because Connor’s still not sitting up on his own completely by himself yet.) • All in all, a successful first attempt ✅
